Music is listened to less and less

Solo pensamientos, percepción y observación diaria: hoy ya casi nadie escucha (realmente) música, o al menos de la forma en que se solía hacerlo. Todo prácticamente esta cruzado por la inmediatez de las redes sociales, likes, reels, etc. Se aprecia más la imagen que lo que esta sonando realmente. Debe haber una imagen asociada para que supuestamente el algoritmo haga que esa publicación llegue a más (o algún) publico o que al menos despierte algún interés. En un punto, el fin de la música tal como la conocimos. Me pasa casi a diario la situación que alguna persona e incluso colegas, me haga algún comentario u opinion (positiva o negativa) acerca de alguna canción o música, pero tomando de referencia de escucha un "reel" de 15 segundos!, o sea, sin siquiera tomarse el tiempo de escuchar esa obra musical entera que quizá solo dura tres minutos. Hasta hace un tiempo muy reciente cuando alguien quería mostrarme alguna canción, obra, o música en particular que le gustaba, al menos te mandaban un link, por ejemplo, de alguna plataforma en donde escuchar esa obra entera. Hoy en día, solo me llegan "reels" de pocos segundos comentarios de "escucha que bueno que esta esto", "te paso esta canción que esta muy buena", etc, etc. Es decir, nuestra referencia musical como sociedad ya es la inmediatez de solo 15 segundos y que en lo posible tenga alguna imagen adicionada? Esta difícil así, muy difícil. Ni siquiera hablo de formato físico que es el más lindo, artístico y el que mejor suena. Ya es utópico en un contexto económico y social, donde muchísima gente no accedería a comprar música y reproductores para escucharla. Eso esta claro (muy lamentablemente). Pero es increíble que se haya llegado a esta época de tal inmediatez, donde no se tenga paciencia ni interés escuchar música de manera relajada, y sin cosas que distraigan de los sonidos. Ojalá haya un retorno en algún momento a formas mas sencillas e inocentes en un punto. Tomarse un tiempo, ponerse auriculares, y que la música dispare las imágenes en tu mente, sin pantallas.
Just thoughts, perception, and daily observation: these days, almost no one (really) listens to music anymore, or at least not the way they used to. Practically everything is influenced by the immediacy of social media, likes, reels, etc. The image is more appreciated than what's actually playing. There must be an associated image so that the algorithm supposedly makes that post reach a wider audience. At one point, the end of music as we knew it. Almost daily, I experience the situation where someone, even colleagues, makes a comment or opinion (positive or negative) about a song or piece of music, but using a 15-second "reel" as a listening reference! That is, without even taking the time to listen to the entire musical work, which may only last three minutes. Until very recently, when someone wanted to show me a particular song, piece, or piece of music they liked, they would at least send you a link, for example, to a platform where you could listen to that piece in its entirety. Nowadays, I only get short "reels" with comments like, "Listen, this is great," "Shall I send you this song, it's really good," etc., etc. I mean, is our musical reference as a society now the immediacy of just 15 seconds, with some added imagery if possible? It's difficult, very difficult. I'm not even talking about physical formats, which are the most beautiful, artistic, and the ones that sound the best. It's already utopian in an economic and social context where many people wouldn't be able to afford to buy music and players to listen to it. That's clear (very regrettable). But it's incredible that we've reached this age of such immediacy, where there's neither the patience nor the interest in listening to music in a relaxed manner, without anything that distracts from the sounds. I hope there's a return at some point to simpler, more innocent forms. Take some time, put on headphones, and let the music trigger the images in your mind, without screens.
